![]() So I say again guys- don't skip Jedi Academy. The lightaber combate is so much better So I remember seing the empty game boxes at EB Games for those 3 SW games And Jedi Academy perfected the lightsaber combat compaired to the 3 previous Jedi Knight games. SW Galaxies was sooo good compaired to The Old Republic. Because All 3 games were hugely anticipated = Gamestop was EB games & it was considered THE StarWars Golden Age side note & kinda OffTopic- when Jedi Academy was coming out= The Learning curve is really ust me! and I struggle withmost advanced control THE #1 reason is because youre Jedi character has a lightsaber flourish & special moves that require BOTH mouse buttons same time.man did I have fun with this back them. ***JEDI ACADEMY= This one is a no-Brainer to ALL whove played it I'm gonna just play it mouse keyboard like I did 16 years ago. actually had to uninstall the game rotflmao! well it wqasnt funny at the time. With no way to set the controller pad option back to " NO" Jedi Outcast.but it went sooo wacky that the mouse wouldnt workĪnymore except glitchy and broken. I mainly wanted to use my 360 controller(forget xbox1 controller) on Originally posted by Steven.sippio:**disclaimer** This thread is useful since people still have this issue. ![]() I also can't figure out how you got the right stick to move the crosshair. There is still no way to get a xinput controller working in base JKA without a mod like OpenJK. Unless you're using OpenJK (Because OpenJK is the only way I've got JKA to see my controller) or Moviebattles. I don't know how you got it working in base JKA. Which is counter productive.ĮDIT 2: Actually I take that back. The only other way is to use the really quick commands only on controller and say if you need a next item in your inventory or gun you go up to your keyboard and press that button. All these commands need at least a single button for each and there really isn't enough buttons without having to use "Hold down" Command buttons to get a fully programmed controller. Like how it is on console.Īn example is use/use item, Next/prev inventory, Next/prev forcepower, Next/Prev weapon. ![]() See a program like xpadder or steam controllers software allows you to bind a command to a button when its held down for a certain amount of time. Make a guide.ĮDIT: After going into game and binding some keys I've noticed that it does work mostly however There is too many commands you need right away that you can't bind to every button on a controller. So instead of saying yes it can be done and giving no information as to how. > Alternate menu that makes using the mods you download much easier, and allows you to do lots of other cool shit (like spawning enemies, loading maps, etc.)Įdit: Just a note, I made a similar post on the Jedi Academy steam discussions forum, so forgive me if I copied/pasted the bulk of this.Yours must be a special case Because I've never seen anyone else except for you who has been able to get a xbox 360 controller in xinput working for JK2/JKA. ![]() > Force Lightning will look much cooler with this mod like the Kylo Ren playermodel, also spawn enemies, give yourself god mode, and plenty more fun stuff) (this is where you'll learn to modify your lightsaber or playermodel to whatever you end up downloading from Jkhub etc. There's also moddb technically, but JKhub has pretty much everything moddb has and some exclusives that are pretty cool, like the Kylo Ren mod.Īlso, here's a texture overhaul mod, you can check out at It's one of the last surviving mod websites for this game. I was using a 1080p monitor so I was playing with a FOV of 95 in the gif.Īlso check out JKhub for mods. If you have a 16:10 monitor go with FOV 90 and if 16:9 (this is the 1080p one) then go FOV 95. Remember to also change the FOV as pointed out in the post I linked above. Here's a quick how-to (but instead of opening it with notepad, use wordpad since it'll be formatted better) You can force 1080p through (and even 1440p or whatever resolution your monitor is) through the game's ini config.
